# Ringkit > Ringkit is pay-per-minute phone answering for small businesses: an AI receptionist at $0.20/min and a business number at $1.99/month (the first number runs a 7-day trial). No plan, no seats, no contracts, prepaid balance. Customers keep their existing number and forward it; Ringkit does not port numbers. Everything the dashboard does is an HTTP call, so a developer or an AI agent can set a business up end to end over the REST API (`https://api.ringkit.com/v1`) or the MCP server (`https://api.ringkit.com/mcp`). Authentication is a business API key (`Authorization: Bearer rk_…`) returned by the create-business call; no account is needed to start. There are no SDKs and no sandbox: use `curl`/`fetch`, a client generated from the OpenAPI document, or MCP, and test with the text simulator (`POST /v1/businesses/:id/simulate`) before renting a number. ## Docs - [Ringkit docs](https://ringkit.com/docs.md): quickstart (create a business to a live number), agent quickstart, concepts, REST API reference, MCP and agent frameworks, webhooks, rate limits and errors The API also describes itself, as plain text and JSON: - `https://api.ringkit.com/llms.txt` — the setup lifecycle step by step - `https://api.ringkit.com/llms-full.txt` — every route and field in one file - `https://api.ringkit.com/openapi.json` — OpenAPI 3.1 document - `https://api.ringkit.com/.well-known/mcp.json` — MCP tools, endpoint and authentication ## Product - [Overview](https://ringkit.com/index.md): what Ringkit does for a business owner, with an example call - [Pricing](https://ringkit.com/pricing.md): rate card and billing rules ($0.20/min AI, $1.99/month per number, first 10 seconds free, 6-second increments, $10 minimum top-up) - [Security](https://ringkit.com/security.md): data handling, recording consent and access controls ## Optional - [Terms of Service](https://ringkit.com/terms.md): draft, not yet reviewed by counsel - [Privacy Policy](https://ringkit.com/privacy.md): draft, not yet reviewed by counsel
